Hanco Kolk processed a graphic novel from the adventures of Dutch author Arnon Grunberg’s when he went on a roadtrip by car and train from Istanbul to Bagdad in 2010. A roadtrip full of special encounters and typical ‘Grunbergian’ observations.
Hanco Kolk used Grunberg’s reports to NRC Handelsblad, unpublished material, letters and older Iraq reports for this graphic novel.
